The food that you eat is first broken down into smaller particles by the saliva in your mouth and then goes to the digestive system. And if you have no saliva, there must be some problem and you need to see the doctor. Because the food is then difficult to break into pieces.

Our mouth is the breaking step of foods we eat and saliva comprises and makes it easy for our mouth to digest foods. If we do not have a saliva, still we can utilize the foods we eat because our stomach has acid juices that can break down this foods  to smaller pieces, and still we have our teeth ^^ hehehe
