What Is Powerball Numbers?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Powerball is a lottery game that is run in the United States of America. The Powerball tickets cost $1 per line of numbers. Several lines can be purchased at once, but each is played for that specific draw. The tickets can be bought by licensed retailers in any state that plays Powerball.

The Powerball numbers are drawn twice weekly on a Wednesday and a Saturday. Six numbers are drawn, 5 white and 1 red, and these numbers determine the winning tickets. The numbers are written on balls drawn randomly from a drum.

There are several ways to win, with the lowest prize being $3 for matching a single number, and the highest being the jackpot which is determined by the amount of money in the pot. The Powerball numbers are drawn at 9.59pm Central Time for every draw. The draw can be viewed on television, with coverage on just under 100 channels.
