Name Some Open Source Multimedia Softwares?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The term open source refers to the codes and methods used to endorse open access to the making and design procedure for different goods, services, resources etc. However the term is ordinarily used to describe the source code of software which is made accessible to the public with either lax or no intellectual property restrictions. This permits the user to make user-generated software by means of either incremental personal effort, or association.

Basically open source software is the opposite of closed source software and can be used to describe any software whose source code can be obtained under a license or a similar arrangement.

Examples of open source software include:
Ardour, Audacity, CDex, JACK Audio Connection Kit, Rosegarden, Eye of GNOME, Dream DRM Receiver, Synfig, Avisynth, DScaler, Kino, Gnome Subtitles etc.
