    Delaware is a state located in United States of America. It has an area of 2490 square miles which makes it the 49th largest state in the U.S whereas the population is 873,092 which is 45th in the United States.

    The state of Delaware was named after a British nobleman Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr. It is located on the Atlantic Coast in the eastern part of the Delmarva Peninsula. It is exactly between the Chesapeake Bay and the Delaware Bay.

    Its neighbors are Pennsylvania towards the north, Delaware River, Delaware Bay, New Jersey, Atlantic Ocean towards the east,  Maryland towards the west and southern part. It has three counties called New Castle, Sussex and Kent County.
