What Is The Magnifier For On My PC?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The magnifier is a tool which is used for people who have visual impairments. The magnifier will enlarge text and icons on your computer, making them much easier to see. The magnifier is mainly for people who have slight visual impairments, but there are more advanced magnifiers available on the Microsoft Website.

To access the magnifier on your PC, click on 'Start' and then click on 'Control Panel'. Click on 'Accessibility Options'. Under the 'See Also' section, click on 'Magnifier'.  This will immediately enlarge text and icons on your computer and you can use the magnifier settings to alter the magnification level and make other changes to the settings. The magnification level can be changed to enable you to zoom in and make everything larger, or, if you can zoom out if you wish.
