Why Do You Get Skin Tags?

Answer Question

Who knows?  They are tiny little moles that some infants are born with, and while I was working ( hospital radiology dept.), I noticed them where skin rubs skin.  On women. Around the bra area, and in men, around the underarm area. I DO know a great way of getting rid of them without having to go to the dermatologist, but I must add a disclaimer here:  I will not be held for any ill effects from using this procedure; if you do it, you're on your own.  I've NEVER EVER seen any il effects from this procedure, and even my mother-in-law asked me to do it after I explained how it works. They are tiny, but they are skin, and thus, nourished by blood.  Therefore, if the blood supply to the tag is cut off, it dies.  This is what you do:  Have someone take a piece of thread and tie it as tightly as you can stand it around the very base of the skin, nearest the large body of skin.  Tie it in a triple knot, then snip the string close so you won't feel it.  After a few minutes, you won't be aware of it at all.  Then suddenly one day you'll go "Hey, where did that skin tag go?"  It will disappear because it died and fell off, and you won't even be aware of it.  It's amazing.
