    Union City is the name of a city situated in Hudson County in New Jersey in the United States of America. According to the population census conducted in the year 2000, the city accommodates a total of 67,088 residents. According to the census, it ranks number one in terms of density of population in the country.

    The location, at which Union City is currently situated, was initially resided by Native Americans of the Lenape tribe, succeeded by the settlement of Germans. It is the German and Dutch population, accompanied by migrants from Switzerland and Austria who established the European technique of lace making which gained immense popularity. Union City later went on to become the principal hub for embroidery along with New York in the United States of America.
