My Web Browser Is Running Really Slowly, How Can I Speed It Up?

A spot of housekeeping is required by the sounds of it. Go Start/Control Panel/Internet Options.

On the General tab, click the Clear History button. This may take some time depending on how many cached pages are clogging up the works. When this is finished, check how many days history you have opted to keep. Do you really need to keep track of 30 days of browsing? Cut this figure down as far as possible. Zero days is best. Click Apply to make it so.

Next, click the Delete Files within the Temporary Internet Files section. This is just more unnecessary baggage for your browser to carry around. After that purge, click Delete Cookies to jettison yet more ballast. Be aware, however, there may be some cookies you wish to keep in order for some site's to remember who you are. So long as you have a note of usernames and passwords, get rid of this lot as well.
