Can My Betta Fish Live In Well Water?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

If you research different fish species then you find out many of them need very different water requirements. This does not mean that some fish cannot adapt to water that is not quite right for them. Your well water may be too hard for a betta, but you can gradually get him acclimated to it. If you want him to live as long and as healthy as possible then give him a 2 gallon fish tank with a heater and a filter pump, and use bottled water instead of your well water. Bettas should never be forced to live in a bowl or a vase. It would be the same as a human living in a closet.
