What Is Javascript?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It's a client-side (runs in your browser) scripting language that allows manipulation of the browser's DOM tree (the things on the page).

Complex mathematical functions, string validation with regular expressions, and even database connections (through AJAX) can be performed with Javascript.

If you feel like learning Javascript, W3Schools is a good place to start. :)
