Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Born in Amsterdam Holland in nineteen sixty nine, Dennis Bergkamp began his professional career with his home town club Ajax Amsterdam, signing for the former European champions in nineteen eighty six.

Bergkamp spent seven years with the Dutch side, playing in his role as supporting striker in one hundred and eighty five league games for the club, scoring one hundred and twenty two league goals.

After a successful period wearing the red and white of Ajax, a big money move offer arrived from a host of Italian clubs, including Inter of Milan, the team Bergkamp signed for in nineteen ninety three.

Although a lot was expected of the Dutchman he didn't quite take to Serie 'A' and moved on after two years, fifty two league games and eleven league goals later.

After Inter, Bergkamp signed for English premier league side, Arsenal where he spent eleven years, scored eighty seven league goals and played in three hundred and fifteen league games.
