Can You Tell Me About The Europa Hotel In Belfast?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Certainly, the Europa Hotel was originally the finest hotel in Belfast.  Its guests range from Sir Trevor MacDonald and Katie Adie to President Bill Clinton.  Set in the heart of Belfast, it is a tall building, with large red lettering across the roof that proclaim 'Europa Hotel' to the whole of the city.  The Europa Hotel is the most bombed hotel in Europe, having been bombed so many times, I've lost count.  The hotel was the place where journalists stayed whilst reporting on the Troubles. Rooms are reasonably priced, the décor is sober but classy, one can get a room with breakfast for eighty-five pounds, but are most likely to pay one hundred and twenty for a room without.  Furnishings are traditional but not old.

Beds are very comfortable, standard rooms get large queen sized beds, whereas the single rooms get a quarter sized bed which is comfortable enough for one.  The ensuites are modern, some include baths, but most have powerful showers with excellent hot water and supplies of brand name toiletries.

The Europa Hotel is now part of the Hastings group.
