What Should Be Done To Prevent The Laziness Of The Basset Hound Breed?
Answers
On one hand, the Basset Hound breed of dogs has a plethora of characteristics (such as sweetness, gentleness, devotion and affection), which make it a verily popular breed for keeping as pets. However on the other hand, there is the attribute of laziness, which makes the Basset Hound puppy somewhat not very preferable. Nevertheless the negative effects of this trait could be prevented.
Besides this attribute of laziness, the tendency of the Basset Hound breed of dogs to overeat is also an area of concern, which needs to be contemplated upon. The combination of the tendency of overeating and the trait of laziness could prove to be a highly unproductive and difficult issue to deal with. Therefore whatever impact these two dimensions could have, they should be prevented in due time by incorporating some specific measures.
For one, a regular routine of exercise should be incorporated and enforced on part of the owner for the dog, which would not only minimize and prevent the harmful effects of the above mentioned contexts but would also activate the Basset Hound pet.

I agree with the other answer above but truth be known, Bassett Hounds are just lazy and there is very little that can be done. Can't change a zebra's stripes... The one thing that will get them going is if they pick up a scent that they find interesting. They are breed to hunt and they will sometimes follow that scent even into danger. Keep them on a leash unless in a fenced area.
