Have We Explored Uranus?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The only exploration of Uranus so far, was during VOYAGER 2's flyby in January 1986 when the probe came within about 50,000 miles of the planet's atmosphere at closest approach on January 26th.

The mission managed to study the atmospheric composition and weather on Uranus, not to mention discovering 10 new moons and that, like Saturn, it too has a ring system (although nowhere near as spectacular of course).
