Christmas in France is marked by family reunions, gifts, candy for children, and le Reveillon. The traditions and celebrations of Christmas in France vary by regions. In eastern and norther France, celebrations of Christmas starts from 6 December. During Christmas seasons la fête de Saint Nicolas or la fête des Rois holiday is given. On 8th December, la Fête de lumières is celebrated when Lyonnais paid hommage to the virgin Mary. Candles are put in the windows on this event. Christmas trees are decorated with candys, fruits, nuts and small toys. Get-together and dinners are very common in France celebrations. Throughout the Christmas season in France, there are special traditional desserts including La bûche de Noël, Le pain calendeau and La Galette des Rois. Moreover, homes, offices and streets are also decorated with apples, paper flowers, and ribbons. Christmas celebrations in France are really amazing and I hope that I have drawn a good picture of Christmas in France.

Best of Luck for your homework!
