8 Month Old Westie Pup Has Excessive Drinking And Accident Urination Problems In House. Antibiotics Seem To Make Symptoms Go Away. What Could Be Possible Problem?
Vet noted an elevated white count at 6 months when in for neutering appt. Appt was cancelled to treat symptoms with antibiotics. Both times antibiotics were used to reduce white count the symptoms seemed to diminish.
Excessive drinking obviously leads to increase in urination and it is good some how as it washes the urinary tract but as excess of everything is bad so this excessive drinking sometimes indicates different problems like:
Cushing's disease
Diabetes Mellitus
Hyperthyroidism
Urinary tract infection
Diabetes Insipidus
Pyometra
Due to medicines like Prednisone
