A sundial is a device that measures the time. The activity of measuring time is carried on the basis of the activity if the sun. The most simple and a common design of sundial that is seen are like an ordinary or a standard sundial of the garden. These are the sundials that cast a shadow on any of the flat surfaces that are marked with the number of hours of the day. The time on the sundial changes with the changing position of the sun. Majority of the major designs of sundials that are designed show the evident solar time. Sundials are very flexible and can be rotated around their style. This is done basically to adjust the time.
