    The golden ratio or phi.

    The number has been known since ancient times and is called the sacred ratio.In the rhind papyrus from 1600 B. C  the Egyptians used it to build the great pyramids.The ancient Greeks used it in art and architecture. Applied maths, additional maths, pure maths, nor further maths was not used as some people say.
