Where Was The First News Paper Printed?

    Newspaper is the most powerful weapon in democracy. In the early history of newspapers the concept was basically to gather news from the travellers or from government sources and it was posted on a bulletin board for every one to read. About 1300 years ago the first newspaper was published in china, it was printed by government and it was called "Tching pao" which meant – news of the capital. In ancient Rome there was also a newspapers which were distributed among people named Acta Diurna, which meant daily happenings. These are the first news papers ever recorded. In 16th century newspapers started to be sold from stands. The government of Venice put out a paper called Notizie Scritte which meant written news and people paid one gazetta for each copy. From 18th century newspapers were also contained with not only news but also opinions. The Intelligencer which was first published in London in 1663 was one of them.

    The Times of London was the most influential news paper ever published. It began in 1785 and is still published today.
