I think it would not be possible for you to take GED classes and be in basic training at the same time. The basic training is very time consuming and I believe there is no access to the outside world. However, once you are in the basic training, you can talk to your instructor about it and may be you are granted permission. The basic thing is that you have to choose between the two. You can also opt for GED now and then join the basic training.
