What Days Out Are There In Hertfordshire?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The county of Hertfordshire offers a variety of different days out and other experiences outside London. For nature lovers, there is Linton Zoo, Woburn Safari Park, Shepreth Wildlife Park in Royston, and Longford Children's Farm in Hemel Hempstead. Some of the best museums in the county include the House on the Hill Toy Museum, Hatfield House, Knebworth House, the Imperial War Museum in Duxford and the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon. Hertfordshire also contains the picturesque St Albans Cathedral, the Roman Theatre Verulamium, and Berkhamsted Castle, as well as the historical site Devil's Dyke, reportedly the site of Julius Caesar's victory over Cassivellaunus. Theme Parks include Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland Windsor and Thorpe Park. There are also river cruises, with the Grand Union Canal in Tring and Adventuress River Cruises in Broxbourne. You can also try your hand at Impact Falconry in Watford and the Grove Golf Course in Chandler's Cross.
