That depends on the following variables:
- the age of said children at the time
- whose child is the other [a relative, friend or stranger]
- the health of both children...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This is a play on a very old question.....a child fell into the gears of a draw bridge(which is the operators son) a boat full of passengers is coming down the river(at the exact same time) if the operator doesn't pull the lever raising the bridge it will kill several hundred people,but at the same time if he does pull the lever his son will be crushed to death...while weighing the question(in his mind) thou shalt not kill...in between the 2 choices.
The story of the 2 women saying they are the mother of one child and the king had to make a decision of which one is telling the truth. So he said to cut the child in half and give each(woman) one half ,but before he could put his decision into place the real mother said let the other women have the child. The king then took the baby and gave the baby to the real mother...when asked how he knew he said (paraphrasing) the real mother would rather give the child a life to live than harm it...
