How Are Computers Utilized In The Medical Field?

None of these are guaranteed to be in ALL medical areas, but here's a list that I am aware of
Appointments are made in a computer system, which allows doctors offices to not over-book the doctor.
A database can be used to list each procedure/visit, what insurance the patient has, whether or not the insurance has paid, and the remaining charges.
This system also sends out the billing statements to the patient if they owe a balance.
This same system holds the medical records.

Another system can be used to scan the documents received from the office, insurance company/companies, and the patient regarding payment.
