How Did The U.S. Army Soldiers Get The Nickname "Dogface"?

All military groups have a history with their nicknames. The MARINES got their nickname "Devil Dog" from the Germans. And the nickname "leathernecks" because of the uniform having a leather collar and "Jarheads" because of the high and tight. Were does "dog face" come in for the army? I hope you answer this one LOGIC....

    you don't know what you are talking about. Devil dogs refers ONLY to MARINES. dogface is what they call ARMY soldiers. There is a HUGE difference in the army and the MARINES. but thank you for your input
