    Alberta is a province of Canada, which is located on the west of Canada. It is landlocked province having British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Montana as its neighbors.

    Alberta became part of Canada on September 1, 1905. This province was named after the husband of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and her daughter Princess Alberta. She was the wife of the Governor General of Canada.

    This province is best known for its oil production. The capital of Alberta is Edmonton. The area of this province is 661848 square kilometer which makes it the 6th largest province. And it has a population of 3585142 people which makes it the 3rd most populated province of Canada.
