Christmas time is a great time to share with children. There is so much to do!
Most communities have a Christmas Wonderland of some kind full of holiday decorations and animation's and things for kids to do. Most have a Santa for the younger kids.
Many parks now have a light display that fascinates young and old people alike. It is usually a few dollars a car load, and worth every penny.
Take the kids shopping and then go home with them. Make them hot cocoa, sing Christmas songs, and help them wrap their gifts
Most kids enjoy singing Christmas carols. I always take my grandchildren to nursing homes and have them sing and talk to the elderly who have no one else to share the holidays with them. Just doing this for a short time means so much to the elderly, and instils a sense of the real spirit of Christmas both in the kids and yourself.
I love to go to a "giving tree" and allow each child to take a tag with the name of a person who needs something. I take the kids to pick out these gifts for the needy. That again helps them see how blessed they are.

There are many places to take kids for a pre-Christmas day out. When my kids were younger, we had a tradition of this but would do different things each year. We would go see Santa, go visit an outdoor manger scene/petting zoo, go ice skating, help out at a soup kitchen, do some shopping, play in the snow, visit one of the parks that had a Christmas display (slides inside Santa and snowmen to climb on), then we would always drive around and see the different christmas light displays while drinking hot chocolate. One year we made a video of the Christmas lights sticking our head out the sunroof and sent it to relatives that were away in the military.

I think the best place would be the church. Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. God will be the most happy if you with your family goes to church. Surely, the bond with your family will be strengthened and God will be happy for You.
And then after going to church, you can now go to any place where your children will be pleasured like malls etc. ^^
God bless you

I agree with Die4m3 that church is a good option.
Christmas is a wonderful season... When people think of others, give gifts as expressions of love, and get together with those that they treasure most in their lives. But there's a flip side to it as well.... The rush and struggle to buy all the gifts, the pressure to meet everyone's demands on your time, and the worry of offending people by forgetting or poorly choosing their gift.
Church is a great way to remember the former, both for us and our children. A chance to remember that the spirit behind a gift is more important than the gift itself. A moment to slow down and remember that there is a source and a reason for the celebration.
The reason for the celebration lies in the gift of a child to all mankind. A child that was the fulfillment of a promise. A child that brings peace and joy.
Though Dec 25th may not be the actual date of his birth, man has chosen this day to pay special remembrance to Jesus Christ. The love we share on this day is in honor of him and of his love for us.

Church if you're religious...
I would go shopping at a big mall or something if you want some fun. Another option is visiting family that you would not have the opportunity to visit normally.
