    The main six cities of Scotland are Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, and Stirling. Aberdeen is also known as the Granite City and is the third largest city of Scotland. Since it is the main service foundation for the mining of crude oil in the North Sea, it is called the "Oil Capital of Europe". Next is the Dundee, which is the fourth biggest metropolis in Scotland. It is famously called the 'City of Discovery', due to RRS Discovery, Robert Falcon Scott's Antarctic examination craft, which was built here and is also berthed here.

    Edinburgh is the second largest and also the capital of Scotland. It is a very famous tourist destination in Europe, which attracts nearly 13 million visitors every year. It is a very famous destination of visit after London. Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. It is located on the River Clyde in the beautiful west central lowlands.

    Inverness is the only city that is located in the Highland council area and the Highlands of Scotland. Stirling is a city and also a very ancient burgh that is located in the Stirling council area of Scotland.
