Pot can stay in your system for up to and even a little over a month. It all depends on your build, your metabolism and activities leading up to the test. A person with a high metabolism, who is very active and stays very hydrated can pass a test for marijuana in relatively very little time. However, for the average person, it can be several weeks to a month. I have extensive experience being tested for drugs and am currently in an opiate recovery program that requires random testing. I can tell you there are ways to clean THC, the chemical tested for when testing for marijuana. There are a myriad of ways to beat those tests, but the best is to simply hydrate yourself and exercise. Every time you urinate, you eliminate some of the chemical from your body.  Any GNC or health food and supplement store will have over the counter ways to beat said tests. Also, many head shops carry them as well. Most of them contain herbals and loads of B vitamins. Simply put however, the best bet is to put as much time between the time you ingested the herb and the test, drink copious amounts of water, take vitamin supplements and niacin and hope for the best. There are also companies that manufacture laboratory made urine. Those work as well.
