What Is The Most Useful Pocket Bike Accessory You Can Buy?

Answer Question

Okay, this sound a bit dull and very like something your father might get excited about. But the most useful pocket bike accessory is a…tyre gauge.

A good quality tyre gauge is an essential piece of kit for the serious pocket bike fan. An accurate gauge will take the guesswork out of adjusting tyre pressures to suit the terrain and conditions.

For instance, if the surface is wet or bumpy you'll want to put a bit more rubber down by deflating the tyres slightly. Conversely, to get the most out of a dry smooth surface, pocket bike handling will be improved by adding pressure to the tyres.

Even the weather has an effect on your tyre pressure settings. In hot weather, air in tyres expand, so deflating them slightly will help. In cool or cold weather, a bit more air pressure is best.

A tyre gauge that gives precise readings will therefore enable you to fine tune tyre pressures to maximum effect, ensuring optimum handling and safety, and lengthening tyre life.

If you only ever buy one accessory, make sure it's a tyre pressure gauge.
