The Hip Hop Project is a documentary produced by Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah. The film follows Chris "Kazi" Rolle, a former homeless teenager who challenges a group of New York City teens to write music about the real issues in their lives. Fed up with the focus on violent issues in most Hip Hop lyrics, Kazi encourages the group to create their own personal music.

The film documents the four-year project that culminated in a collaborative album. Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons and Bruce Willis, also featured in the film, provide the recording studio for the Hip Hop Project.
