To prepare a beef brisket slab you require 1 onion, a group of leeks, a carrot, garlic (1 whole), peppercorns – 1 tablespoon, baby leaf -1and salt.
To prepare the gravy, you need 2 tablespoons of flour, 3-4 c of beef soup, 1/3 c of butter, chopped parsley (for garnishing) and 1 tablespoon of steak sauce.
Now, put the beef brisket in a big pan and face with water. Add the required spices and vegetables and cook at low heat for about 2-3 hours until it becomes warm. Transfer the beef to a plate. Wrap in cling film till it is hard. Cut into pieces.
Strain the soup and cool. Now make the gravy. First melt the butter in a pan and add the flour all at once. Stir well. Cook on low heat till it turns light brown. Add the soup little-little as much as you want and keep stirring. When the required consistency is reached add the beef brisket pieces into the gravy and cook till heated properly. Add the steak sauce and chopped parsley to it after turning the flame off. Serve hot
