    To recognise emotive language can mean to realise that the words being used to communicate, whether spoken or written, are words that convey emotion.
    Emotive is simply the adjective of emotion, which is a noun.
    So emotive language is that which conveys emotion.
    For example "I am sick of you putting me down," is emotive, and shows frustration.
    "Teenagers are thugs these days", is emotive, and shows fear.
    "You never listen to me anymore", is emotive, and shows feelings of isolation.
    "I don't care if  I never see you again" is emotive, and shows anger.
    "I love you more than ever"! is emotive, and shows emotion expressed as love.
