Does Astrological Compatibility Actually Mean Anything?

My best friend/crush is a Capricorn whilst I'm a Leo. I've researched our compatibility and as friends/lovers, we're not compatible. Does this actually mean we can't be friends/in love or is it a load of trash?

Destiny's aren't set, lovers aren't pre-determined. Remember we have free will, anything is possible and nothing is set in stone

If you are only researching how your sun signs would get along, that is like judging what is in a book by only looking at the cover.

One needs to look at both charts together and compare all points and planets to see if there is compatibility.

Looking at only the sun sign is like cooking a souffle with only 2 ingredients!

Too general.  Those who comment that it is "all rubbish" rarely understand that one must take into account many different factors (One's Moon sign, Venus, Mercury, etc.)

Exact information doesn't even exist in "Science" (capital S...Science is absolutely theoretical until the theory is proven wrong...imagination and perserverance are the best medicine).  But, when one actually spends the time to work out the details of one's astrology it does often make sense, and tends to uncover ways of being that have rarely made sense to oneself (often internal conflicts with the way one operates in the world, or the face one shows to the world,  as opposed to how one may really "feel" or process the emotions).

There is rarely any truth in extreme generalizations...humans are made of of many bits making up a whole.  Observe the information wisely and thoroughly, and accuracy is bound to present itself.  However, that takes time and perserverance.

It does not mean anything. It is just superstition.
