    Gluten intolerance is the name of an ailment. It is also known as the Celiac disease. A person suffering from this disorder is as its name suggests intolerant to gluten. Gluten is the name for a group of proteins. It is commonly found in rye, wheat and barley thus making it a common component in breads. Some people cannot digest this protein and they are the people suffering from gluten intolerance. It is a genetic or hereditary disorder.

    People of all ages, regions and gender can be affected by this ailment but it is more common in people of North Europe. The common symptoms of this disorder include diarrhoea, weight loss, malnutrition, mild weakness, bone pain, stomach swells, nutrient deficiencies and ill health with no gastrointestinal symptoms. The only actual treatment for this disease is to avoid all foodstuffs containing gluten for the rest of their lives.
