It is the force of gravity. When going up stairs or up hill you are working against the force of gravity.

It is all caused by the gravitational pull from the earth. When moving toward the earth it is alot easier when traveling away from the earth your moving against the gravitational pull. You can look up on google Newtons law of gravity. It explains it alot better then me.

Downstairs is the fridge, entertainment center, all the fun stuff. Upstairs is bath time, bed time.
