    The Catalan giants Barcelona won the Spanish first division title in the two thousand and five, two thousand and six season.  

    Barcelona ended the season a massive twelve points clear of runners up Real Madrid, with Barcelona winning twenty five, drawing seven and losing only six of their thirty eight league matches.  Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o ended the season as the leagues top goalscorer, notching twenty five goals.  

    Victory in the two thousand and five, two thousand and six season's Chmpions league followed, when Barcelona beat English side Arsenal in the Paris held final, completing an excellent year for the Catalan club.  

    Runners up Real Madird ended the season one point clear of Valencia in third, with Madird winning twenty, drawing ten and losing eight of their thirty eight league matches.  

    Valencia ended the season on sixty nine points, winning nineteen, drawing twelve and losing only seven games all season.
