What Did Men Wear In The 80s?

Fashion industry and Fashion itself were booming in the early 80s. Men began to wear tight, close fitting pants. It was an era of Power suits. These suits were tight when they were bought, so men often jogged in them to work. Eighties was a period when people would display their wealth through their clothing. Brand names like Ralph Loren and Calvin Klein became status symbols. The New Wave In the 80s was a fashion statement which is called the New Romantics. It started in the British nightclubs and started the fad of wearing short shirt collars unfolded up against the neck. The top one or two buttons were left unfastened. This fashion prevailed for over a decade. The popularity of business suits was ever growing. The fashion was post-hippie, a little Disco and early glam. Beads were not in Fashion by the 80s instead collars, big sun glasses; tan and jewellery were common among men.
