Should A User Be Allowed To Call Another User STUPID, DUMB, Or IDIOT?
After looking around, I still see many examples of users calling someone an outright hurtful name, in an answer or a comment. Not just kids, adults. I report it everytime.

There doesn't need to be a "language rule," or moderation, or any other kind if language censorship. Sure they're allowed to call each other bad names, but does that make it okay? Blurters need to rely less on the site structure and more on their own behavior. Let's not put any more restrictions in place; we have enough already. Just use common sense, morals, and decency. Follow the Golden Rule: Treat people the way you would like to be treated. (Unless of course you want to be treated like crap...then I can make an exception.) Deeni

I feel what is good for one is good for another,I'm with our friend Tamy, Why is it that some can and others are not allowed to defend themselves, if you are man, woman enough to start trouble than be the same when it comes to a person defending themselves,If this were a different world these things would not be happening, but since it is,if you can dish it out, you should also be able to take it, in defense of myself, I'm going to step up and if it means being dismissed from the site oh well, self preservation is the #1 law of nature, plus that is a part of my training, only two types of people friend or enemy.....

I have been called a bitch, by another blurter and of course I responded and it was because I ended my shout to this person with be blessed.....
The biggest issue I have right now, are guest. Calling someone stupid, idiot, retard, etc. In the guise of a comment or answer. This way, they can not be found or banned. And yes, a few do appear to be members. Just not logging in.
Sure, why not? If the person deserves to be insulted, insult them. There is no need for further restrictions on this site.

I agree with what Nadene said but I want to ask this question, why were our good friends then banned for trying to defend themselves against people who treated them like crap and used these kind of words and worse words against them unfairly. You can never have a right or a wrong answer for this kind of question, yes I say if you can dish it out then you must be able to take it as well but to what extent because some people don't know where to draw the line and the only why to stop them is to ban them or to make the rules even more stricter then what it already is and that makes this site horrible for people like us that wants freedom and can use their discretion to know when to stop. So from me I would say Yes and No

From what I could fathom from that particular evening, One user kept repeatedly, over and over, again and again, hitting the report link. Even when nothing offensive had happened. I assume the Mods at the time were just so over it, they decided, Shoot now, Ask later. But when later came around everything was deleted. It may be wise in the future, to hit report when it is needed, instead of giving that user a "break", or time to apologise, or not want to be the bad guy.
I agree with Raindeux. There are a lot of idiots on this site, and a fair amount of smart people who say moronic things. If they never get called out for it, then they will never learn.
