Where Is The Sphinx?

    Sphinx is an ancient sculptor which is a mix between the body of a lion and the head of a falcon or a ram or person. The Sphinx was invented by the Egyptians of the Old Kingdom. The Sphinx's are mainly found in Egypt, often close to pyramids. The most famous sphinx of all time is the Sphinx of Giza, which is located close to the Pyramid of Khafre. The Sphinx of Giza is a Sphinx which has a body of a lion and the head is replaced by a human head. Mostly the head is a sculptural replacement of some pharaoh.  

    The Sphinx are defined in three categories:
    Criosphinx: - this type of sculpture is known as a sphinx with the head of a ram and the body of a lion
    Androsphinx: - the body of the lion remains but the head is replaced by that of a human.
    Hierocosphinx: - it has the head of a hawk or a falcon and the body of a lion.
