    Gothic Art is the word that is used to refer to a Medieval art movement. This movement started during the mid 12th century in France and ended during the 14th century. This form of art is usually found in Cathedrals. A part of Gothic art was Gothic sculptures and Gothic paintings along with Gothic Architecture.

    The following are the characteristics of Gothic Art:h
    - Gothic Art is characterized by lightness and soaring spaced.
    - It focuses on innumerable division and subdivision and multiplicity of forms.
    - Most of the Gothic architecture is characterized by great windows which facilitate quality lighting of the area.
    - Gothic Sculptures were stiff and had elongated styles,
    - The painting during the Gothic period was characterized by frescos, panel paintings, manuscript illumination and stained glass.
