Always money (they seem to think it grows on trees) and space to hang out with his friends and not to do any chores

I think kids today are conditioned by the media into becoming manipulators of parental guilt (borne from a neglect of love and attention) seeking material compensations --- that is, they are being programmed into becoming mini-consumers...  but what they REALLY need is love, guidance, and being taught how to make good decisions for themselves, which involves building a strong moral and ethical foundation, in an environment of good communications and mutual trust.

Rules, regulations, and boundaries to know you care when no one else does.

They want it all, but toys and money have an edge until they are about 25. Then they weight the love and attention a little higher, especially when they have their own children.  Of course, I have never known them to turn down any toys or money even after they turned 25.

          hey,
In my opinion, attention gets the first place! That's from my own experience.

Love, understanding, patience, wisdom, space (and yeah, money).

That's what I get (though I never talk to my mom about anything) and what I ask for.

Of course, I get skittish about the money, so I get a job instead to get it myself.

Though, of course, we all have a tendency to want something more than that...

          Like cars.

And the laid-backness that'll allow us to live so we aren't tied to the floor like prisoners. We love to have our freedom, but we want some rules and guidelines that aren't overboard from our parents, too.

That, and try not to annoy us too much or tell us stuff we don't want to know; just give us the essentials to get through our lives as safely as we can and we're good! :D

Kids think that they would have the money and toys. But what they don't realize is that they really want love and positive attention.
