What Values Did Monique And Kris Share?

Monique was a Midwife in Mali and the author Kris was a young peace corps volunteer. Both the women share the same values and ambitions. They both have an unquenchable passion for making the lives of women better with their efforts. They want to help children who face problems like poverty and women who are getting through trauma of unhappy marriages and endless work.
