There used to be a piercing parlor that was close to me and their moto was "if you can pinch it, we can pierce it" I say go for it. Flaunt it!

Be proud of your belly and get it pierced if that's what you want, does not matter what other people think, just be aware that piercing can hurt,i had studs put in my nipples and thought i was going to die, but supprisingly i had a vagina stud last year with not much pain at all maybe because the vagina is pretty flexible, pain differs from one person to another, best of luck
