Matthew Chapter 10 verse 34 reads...Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. If you don't put God number one in your life you don't have an eternal life. I hope that is what you were looking for.

If you read Matthew 10-32 - 10-42 you can see that Jesus was telling his early followers that becoming a follower of his had a lot of risk involved. You could be persecuted even to death with with a sword. Your decision to be a follower might break apart your family. But if you take the risks involved you might lose your life on earth but gain everlasting life in Heaven with the one who sent him, his father, GOD.
