I heard that listening to Mozart makes you smarter. Is this true?If it is true then pls explain because I don't understand how it could(though it is lovely music.)Also, if it does make you smarter, is it only Mozart or can other music do this too?
Mozart's music was so complex and emotionally driven, that I think listening to it with great concentration fires up the neurons of our brain, particularly the higher thinking part of our brain where ideas and creativity lie. Mozart's music has great crescendos (highs) followed by lows which ignites the emotions and makes us passionate about his music. I think listening to Mozart makes a smart person smarter for sure. It's because of Mozart's great detail to intertwining notes of high and low scales that fires the brain moreso than the other great composers.
Yes there some myths related to mozart but i don't think it will make you smarter. In my opinion, it all depends on your capabilities and on your hardwork. Nothing else in this world can make you smarter or dumb.
It is a myth... A very spread and common one... But it is still untrue.
But I think the results of the testing were that; there is no long term increase in intelligence.
