There are 50 states here in the us

Fifty so far. Puerto Rico may someday be the 51st.

Please don't ask President elect Obama, he thinks there are 57 but there are only 50

There are 50 states in the USA. Alaska and Hawii are both are united with the rest of the country. Hawii's 7 islands into 1 state and Alaska up north conecting with Canada.
