What Is The Mass Of 2.00 Moles Of C3H8?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    Moles of a substance is equal to the ratio of given mass and molar mass. When molecular mass of a substance is expressed in grams, the mass is called molar mass.

    The molecular mass of C3H8= 3* 12 + 8*1

    Because mass of one atom of carbon is 12 and mass of one atom of hydrogen is 1.

    The molecular mass of C3H8= 36 + 8

    The molecular mass of C3H8= 44

    The molar mass of C3H8= 44 grams

    moles of a substance= mass given/ molar mass

    2= mass/ 44 grams

    mass= 2*44 grams

    mass= 88 grams
