I am trying to figure out the nationality and country origin of my last name.

First name Wilhelm is Teutonic which means Valiant Protector. The last name Wilhelm origin is German. The name is from personal name Willahalm which means wil ‘will’, ‘desire’ + helm ‘helmet’, ‘protection’.
