Why Do The Window Blinds Have To Be Up During Take Off?

Answer Question

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it is so we can all be aware if there is any sort of problem landing or taking off. In the case of an emergency I would think that the crew would need to give visual references to the pilot and the rest of the crew as what and where the emergency is, and respond accordingly.

The blinds have to be up during take off so they are secure and also if you did have an accident before take off it would enable rescuers to see where the passengers were sat.
