    Strand is the name of a street parliamentary constituency. It is based in the Strand district in the city of Westminster of United Kingdom. It was created in the year 1885 and was abolished in 1918. It has one member in the House of Commons. It was formed by the Redistribution of Seats Act. The constituency was abolished by general elections in 1918.

    Strand is also the name for a street that is found in the city of London. It begins from the Trafalgar Square and meets Fleet Street at Temple Bar. It gets its name from the Old English word that meant "shore" or "river bank". It is a very old street and has existed even before the Embankment in the 19th century. It was also a place where people had lived during the time of the Saxons.
